LCC offers three ways to help you discover God’s financial plan for your life:

• the self-guided program
• the GFSGW Course
• one-on-one financial counseling
  

Self-Guided Program

The Self-Guided Program works well for those who prefer to work independently at their own pace. To begin your journey to financial peace working from the comforts of your home you will need to obtain a copy of the Budgeting For The Non-Accountant workbook.

Growing Financial Stewards God's Way Course

The Growing Financial Stewards God's Way course is eight weekly 2-hour sessions:

Session 1:

provides an overview of Biblical stewardship using the Parable of the Talents. It looks at common financial symptoms and reviews Forms 1 and 2 from the workbook.

Session 2:

looks at the three types of financial problems we have, how to overcome them, and a review of Form 3 from the workbook.

Session 3:

covers God’s word on giving and saving.

Session 4:

covers God’s word on taxes and family needs.

Session 5:

discusses credit scoring, debt, and buying a house God’s way.

Session 6:

discusses setting financial goals, creating a Christian will, life insurance, and getting prepared to balance your budget.

Session 7:

shows you how to create a balanced budget that glorifies God, identifies some possible unnecessary “wants” in our lives, and introduces the cash envelope system.

Session 8:

discusses the monthly staff meeting and an easy way to track income and expenses, concluding with a helpful class exercise.

This interactive class is filled with informative lessons, illustrations, “What Would You Do?” scenarios, and other fun activities to enhance the learning process. It will challenge you to look at finances in a way that will be life changing!

One-on-One Financial Counseling

To arrange for one-on-one counseling, simply contact us to schedule an appointment.

Prior to your first counseling session, you will be required to complete the LCC Counselee Application and purchase the Budgeting For The Non-Accountant workbook. (end user taken to a link to purchase the workbook) Once you have received the workbook, please read the introduction and first three chapters and answer the series of questions at the end of each chapter. This work generally takes two to three hours to complete. You may schedule your first 90-minute counseling session prior to completing these assignments.

LCC recommends that the best approach for learning about Biblical financial stewardship and applying it to your life is to take the Growing Financial Stewards God’s Way class and then follow-up the class with one-on-one counseling. However, LLC understands that some individuals and couples may be unable to attend the class. If this is your situation, then you are encouraged to do one-on-one counseling.

Session One:

:: Share your financial story of where you are and how you got there
:: Learn what are your “Money Beliefs”
:: Discuss the “Ownership” principle and how it impacts the way you give, save, and spend
:: Help you identify your financial problems

Session Two:

:: Review God’s word on giving, saving and spending
:: Review your Net Worth Estimate, Debt Load, and Monthly Income and Expenses.
:: Review your financial goals

Session Three:

:: Review your proposed budget
:: Review the cash envelope system and calculate envelope amounts for the expense categories selected
:: Discuss the importance of monthly staff meetings and LCC’s offer to provide accountability for up to one year

Sessions Four through Eight (Optional):

:: Track your monthly income and expenses with your counselor
:: Discuss and resolve past and current financial issues
:: Rejoice in what God is doing for you and your finances
